    my DM also prompted me to upgrade to 292. i live in guam.my carrier is docomo pacific. i'm having a second thought if i'll do an upgrade 'coz there was an older version of 292 with an app version of .162 that was posted here in crackberry(10-8_2008). i wanna make sure that this one is a platform .240.

    that was 291 not 292. 291 is based on an old platform but apparently 292 is based on .240

    What you have just posted shows the OS 4.6.0.162 is based on the platform 4.0.0.155. This thread is talking about the OS version of 292 NOT the package version 292 which is what you're showing which is an EXTREMELY OLD OS.

    You're looking at the package version but what you SHOULD be looking at is the Applications section which shows the OS version number

    I got email. Plugged in to DM 5.0 and was prompted to update. Update went smoothly. Only problem was that I lost BBM 5. (reverted to the older version). I was able to reinstall using the .zip file. (OTAs did not work).
    All is well now and it is running smoothly with no other problems. Appears to be as fast as .282 or a tad faster. New interface for facebook and flickr.

    I'm hearing that ATT has released it as well through DM, but haven't been able to find any findings on it. Would update if I knew I'd get to keep my 2G/3G switch....

    Anybody on ATT know?

    Official: 4.6.0.292 by AT&T/Cingular for 9000 - BlackberryOS.com

    They say it's released there, but I just tried as well since you said it was a no go, and didn't show up for me, seems that those at BBOS can't find it either.

    Hopefully it'll show up soon, and definitely can't wait for 5.0 hybrids with this one if it's better.
