Just checked my emails and received the 'rare' email from RIM that informs about new software update.. Didn't believe there was something newer than the .282 that i alrready have but still checked.

Launched the website with Internet Explorer and it launched DM which suprisingly suggested me to upgrade to .292 (Multilanguage)..

Yeah - every time I start DM, it prompts me to "upgrade" my Bold as well, but I've read the posts that it really isn't an upgrade, so I just pass and hit the cancel key.

Yes .292 is a new version and is not a hybrid. It is not the newest, but does work pretty well.

I didn't get an email concerning an update in OS for the blackberry bold. I tried the wireless update and it stated that there wasn't an update to the 167. Are you guys with AT&T? Where can I get the update?
