What's going on people? I'm looking to get a BB again. I was looking at the Bold 9900 but that's too pricey for me and I seen the Bold 9780 and liked the price. The last BB I had was the 8700.

I was wondering if this phone would be a nice phone to come back into the BB world again?

Ive not long returned to a Blackberry myself. The last BB I had was a Bold 9700. I took a look at the Torch 9800 but didnt like it so I opted for the 9780 and loved it from the start. I wouldnt have any problem recommending the 9780 BUT the bold 9900 is out so I suggest you take a look at this one. Its my plan to eventually get a Bold 9900 but atm, my 970 will do me just fine

Cool beans! Yea I was thinking about just saving up to get the bold 9900. I don't plan on switching from the BB again. The android os is okay but the BB is the best though.

I returned to the BB-world myself through a 9780 and it's a great device. Coming from a touchscreen Android to this feels like going from a horse to a tractor. This baby gets **** done.

I came back after using an android phone for a while. I had to charge that puppy everyday, and it drank data like water. PIM functions sucked big time. Eventually it broke due to a manufacturing defect.

BB still rocks for functionality. My 9780 is the best phone I have ever owned. Great phone quality, speakerphone, thrifty on data, great PIM, killer battery life, and does everything I want or need. And I've never had a BB hardware failure.

My wife and I both have one, and it is a wonderful phone.

ALRIGHT! I'll just save up for the 9900. I don't plan on switching back to any other device so this would be a smart choice. I miss that BB qwerty pad and when I had the 8700, I wasn't hip to BBM so that'll be great to try out. Thanks for all the replies people.

It seems that BB users are more cooler

I actually had a 9900 and am thinking about getting a 9700. (Currently on an Android device)

The problem with the 9900 for me was that so many apps just didn't work. It's fine if some apps that I use for personal convenience don't work. But the apps I use daily--especially LinkedIn and Plaxo weren't available. I believe they still aren't. So I'm probably going to get a 9780.

Get either a 9780 or an OS7 Curve if you have budget limitations.
