Hi,

I have a backup from Torch 9800 and trying restore it on Bold 9900.

Unfortunately restoring the messages is not completed. It stops on 50%. (Messages backup is around 7000+)

Is there any issue with the version of the OS of the phone?

There shouldn't be any issues AFAIK
I was restoring all my messages from 9700 on 9900. It went smooth.
I just did it in parts: first I had made a full backup of 9700, and then I used selective restore. First I did my emails, then texts, and at the end MMS (and the latests was taking some much longer time)...

Don't try to do a complete restore of the 9800 data. As mentioned already, I'd only do a selective restore (message, BBM, and address book).
