Thank you.
Have you tried the week view? That is my preference. Also, you can check out an app called deToday..there are others as well.

I didn't care for it at first either, then I got used to it. I prefer the month view.

Nah week view doesn't really work for me. I need to be able to quickly scroll through dates while scheduling on the fly.
Anyone have a 3rd party app recommendation?
i tried "pocket imformant" and "sbsh calendar pro" but the two biggest downsides for me were:
It wouldn't replace the oem calendar so it kept popping up when I wanted the third party cal to pop up. Not sure why, just the oem is deeply imbedded I suppose.
And the bigger downside for me was it was laggy comparred to the BB oem calendar.
But try it for yourself and see. You might like it better. I don't know of any others. I think the BB os-6 calendar is fine. You could try the different settings. It took me a bit to get used to it.
EDIT: I retried pocket informant since yesterday and it is better on os-6 for sure. Not at all laggy. You''ll just have to try it for yourself.
I agree it is terrible and I would like a good replacement too. My complaints are that it defaults to all appointments on the hour, you cant use the trackball to set appointments on half hours. It is also very hard to see when you schedule appointments at 15 minute intervals. I have a lot of appointments to keep track of on my blackberry, and I have been making more mistakes since upgrading to OS6. And, the scrolling from day to day is buggy too. I would appreciate any suggestions on alternatives. I preferred the old calendar.
Try Agendus from Iambic. I used it with my Palm Treo, and I found their BlackBerry version. Very full-featured. I think there's a trial period, so you can decide if it's right for you.
Yes, it's true that the appointments are defaulted to the top of the hour, but you can set for anything you like. You can use the trackpad to set appointments on the half-hour. In fact, the time selection scrolls to 15 minute intervals. If you want to start an event at a particular time without scrolling with the trackpad, then put your cursor on the hours, type the hour, then move the cursor to the minutes and type the minutes.
I just use it in month view, took me awhile to get used to it, but now i am.... hope you find something you like, i didn't even know you could replace it lol
Thanks for posting that. Cary is clearly wrong with the setting appointments comment. Had to LOL @ "trackball" too.
