Can anyone tell me how to remove the grey bars on the homepage of the Bold 9700? The icons on the screen are fine but the grey bars are in the way.

    Thanks!

It is theme related. You can search the themes section and find a theme without the bars.
Or you can set the layout to "today" instead on "zen"

As stated, this is a theme issue, change your theme and your issue goes away.

It just changes your layout on home screen. On today layout, you will see your calender events and messages on the home screen while on "zen" you have the bottom dock. Try both layouts, see which one you prefer.

On main icons page, instead of hitting the wrench icon, press menu (BB button) then options. You will see your theme options there.

Yes, don't worry, it will not change anything else but the layout, and you can change it back and forth as many times as you wish without affecting anything else. And you're welcome, glad to help.

Here's a custom L theme with the grey bars removed. With Hidden Today.
I think the OTA still works.
