Awesome! I guess my S2 is going back to VZW this weekend and I'm going back to my Curve8330 until this comes out. I have a Tour1 in my drawer that I'm not inclined to use since I dropped it in water. I was going to take it to Asurion, but didn't feel like dealing with their snit.
So now, I'll wait until May! It'll be my birthday present to myself!
yeah thats how they've done it with most other phones... so when it hits verizon go check it out at the verizon branch and then wait a few hours and order it at sprint
how is bank of america's internal website an authority on a confirmed release date? nice find though
because of million dollar contracts between verizon and bank of america... we get a 25% discount at verizon just being employee here... intranet here is 100% accurate and like i said was dead on with tour and storm 2
Bank of America is the 2nd most powerful bank in the US- I am assuming they receive information based on dealings with RIM.
good find, and I believe it to be accurate.
I guess this means that the phone will not be much different than what we've been hearing about it.
I am going to sprint from tmobile and was thinking about the supersonic but I will try this first. Faster proccesor needed for this bb--the Tour was sluggish to begin with.

If you think Bank of America is the only company with "million dollar contracts" with Verizon then you are sadly mistaken. I work for a bank that does million dollars of business with Verizon as well and you get treated like any other corporate customer.
sorry I didn't mean to cause a ruckus. It's a good find and probably one of the most solid pieces of info we have at the moment.
In a way, I'm kind of upset that it's being released so soon now because it sounds like it's just going to have WiFi and trackpad and open GL over the Tour 1. Big whoopie! RIM made everyone wait for these "revolutionary" upgrades???
I bet actually changing the name to Bold is going to fool at least a few customers into thinking that this phone is a major upgrade to a Tour.

I agree, I don't want the Tour2 with a name change and a new battery cover, I want the CDMA version of the 9700. But it does not look like this is going to happen.
