Earlier I was sending text messages to my BF and he was complaining that he wasn't getting any of them but I was getting his. So I decided to turn my phone off and take the battery out to see if it would work. I put the battery back in and you know how to light stays solid red for a while and then goes away? It never did and now it's blinking red and it won't turn on! It's been doing this for like a hour now! I took the battery out and plugged it into my computer and my computer recognized it but then I put the battery back and the light is still blinking RED! It won't turn on What could be the problem?

Take the battery out, count to 30, then reinstall the battery. Hold down the Red Phone button. See if that works.

Did you try taking the battery out and it plugging it into the wall instead of the computer?

Nope! That doesn't work! My battery was fully charged before this happened too! It's STILL blinking red!

Yes. The wall charger recognizes it too. The light just stays solid red for a little and then I put the battery back in and now it's blinking again

So you see the phone in the DM? Do a restore.

Sounds like you either have water damage or a corrupted OS.

I don't understand. It was working just fine before I took the battery out.. it can't be water damage because it was no where near water...

^ I have no idea how to do any of that lol. Is there any other ways? What if I just leave the charger in with the battery for a while? Or what if I just take out the battery overnight, sleep on it and then put it back in the morning? What does the blinking red light mean in the first place anyway?

Go to the Blackberry 101 forums and read the "How to recover a nuked BB" and follow those instructions on how to re-load your O/S. Follow them to the letter, and you should be alright.
