Let me just start off by saying I am not new to BB's, nor am I new to unlocking them - but this, my friends, has got me puzzled.

The perpetrator - a Rogers 9790, showing everything "disabled" except "Network", which shows "Active" - a typical phone, locked to Rogers.

The victim - me, so far. I run (and am quite familiar with two totally different yet equally capable types of unlocking software, and *both* are doing the exact same thing - in a nutshell, when I go to enter the IMEI, I get to try entering the last digit (which in this case is a 9) but before I can do that, the software defaults that last digit to a 1, resulting of course in improper unlock codes...

Here are the deets on the phone:

    IMEI: 359201.04.273733.9 / 352901042737339
    PRD: PRD-44242-030
    MEP: MEP-04626-002

I've got all the info right, I've double and triple checked everything, but I can't, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, get the software to stop incorrectly inputting the last digit of my IMEI - and neither program will let me edit it after the fact, it's like the calculator(s) are seeing something and "auto-correcting" it... And I've NEVER come across this before - hoping someone 'round these parts has, and can point me in the right direction...

If I can attach screen-shots I will, to try and illustrate exactly what I am talking about - but in both pics you will see the last digit defaulting to a "1", and no matter what I do, I cannot change it to a "9", which is in fact the last digit of the IMEI on this particular phone.

Attached Thumbnails A *really* weird anomoly with IMEI entry on unlocking software... *HELP?!?*-calc1.png   A *really* weird anomoly with IMEI entry on unlocking software... *HELP?!?*-calc2.png

You have a transcription error in the IMEI. The last digit is a checksum, which is a clear hint you typed an incorrect number.

Thank you, sir - sometimes my dyslexia gets the best of me... LOL... I've generated a whole new set of codes, and I'll let you know how I make out...

    Cheers!

When I check the "Calculate all MEPS" I get this.
    ....
Which is totally irrelevant to the OP because you are using the invalid IMEI. Let him come back, read my reply above and enter the CORRECT IMEI in his own software.

You guys were right - I transversed two simple digits, and it ruined my whole day... LOL...

But after all was said and done - she's unlocked, and syncing perfectly with the TELUS network.

    Thanks again!
