    basically i have a blackberry bold 9700 and i cant view or type japanese or korean on it(they come up as little black sq's), i go on sites that use this language alot so it would be a big help if someone could tell me how to do this? something about desktop manager? where do i download this and is it for my blackberry or laptop? please help me !! i have no idea with this sort of stuff! at all!!

    I think there are a few translation apps on bb app world. Some will even let you type english and convert to whatever. Worth looking into.

    It won't wipe anything from your phone. It will just upgrade your OS.

    I know because I also did it last sunday just to get the east asian support.

    Well, the upgrade process may take a while, around 20-30 minutes I guess.
