I have a new 9000. It seems to reboot every couple days for no reason. Is this a common problem? I am running the original OS v. 4.6.0.167.

Yes you need to upgrade your OS. Visit the sticky in this forum for the latest official .282.

That's not a common problem - I mean, I've never experienced that problem like most of the 9000 users.

But, try to upgrade to .282 like Morganizer said, because it's an official OS.

It's very common on .167 based on what I've read on CB for the last few months.

Very common with 167. Also happens with 266 when seeking back or forwards in media.

I found the lease random reboots on 247 and that is my preffered OS. Have not tried 282 yet but so far not hearing great things about it.

There are tons of glowing reviews on 282 in the beta os forums. I had 247 and never had a problem, but went to 282 a couple days ago and have been quite happy. Plus it gives you the option now to choose 2G or 3G data, which will help save on battery life.

I see just as many negative comments/reviews. That feature alone is not enough for me to switch from 247 just yet.

I was having the random reboot problem, thought not as badly as most folks. I haven't been running .282 for much more than a day now, but so far, so good, I'll update if it happens again or if I make it a week or so.

I'm on 266 and 3 weeks into the phone it did it for the first time today. What a pain in the ***! I don't remember what I was doing in the browser, but I may have been hitting the back button.

We are talking about several beta/unreleased OS's here. Everybody is going to have different results for the simple reason that it has not been officially released (although, 282 is an official version for a carrier outside of the US). Everybody also has their own opinion on the OS, which in some cases are quite valid and in others are very nitpicky. Regardless, use your best judgment when upgrading to a different OS, and if you don't like it go back to your old one.
