Every day, my Bold's radio turns itself off.

As a result, I have to manually turn the Mobile network back on-

When I do this, ATT pushes all those horrible programs they force feed into my Bold back onto my device's homescreen.

This is annoying, and normally takes me a while to realize that the network connections were turned off.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

When the battery gets low, it will do that, but I mean like under 10%.

I don't have an answer as to why your radio turns off.

But as far as the apps being pushed back, are you deleting them thinking that they won't return?
Well they will always return so it's best to either put them in a folder or hide them because they will always come back.

Yes, I know the Radio will shut off when the battery is low-

But my Bold does this even when my battery is charged.

I sit there thinking, "Sheesh, Why has my phone been so quiet?!", and as soon as I get a phantom red light- I check and see the little SOS sign at the top of the screen.

    This is really irritating.

I'm not a fan of constantly upgrading my OS...

I'm running v4.6.0.167, is that bad?

Seen a few threads on this ever since I got my Bold in November. OS .167 is
a likely culprit. I know for sure that one person just exchanged the phone
through warranty and didn't have the problem anymore. You more than likely
have a defective phone if an OS upgrade doesn't help.

I've never had to exchange my phone through RIM's warranty.

How do I go about doing that?

This has happened to me too a few times, and I was running .266. I noticed it would happen mostly in weak signal areas, when it was switching from edge, EDGE, 3g and 3G a lot. It's like it kept trying to get a good signal, and just gave up and shut the radio off. It hasn't happened yet on .282 yet, but it's probably too early to tell

Where did you buy the phone from? The warranty exchange would go through
the carrier. That is if you bought the phone from AT&T.
