So I'm really excited about NFC, I think it has a lot of potential.

But I am wondering, would it still function if there's a cover/case on the BlackBerry or will that impede its performance?

probably. its more material for the NFC signal to push through, and its only meant to be used at a distance of say maybe a foot. Same concept as to why your phone signal gets weaker while inside of a building.

I dont think so since its supposed to work wirelessly unless you have some kind of metal casing.
