Why are these two premium phones the Bold and iPhone having so much trouble on the 3G network? I had a MOTO Q9h which is 3G and it worked great.
What is the deal here?
No one really knows. Some say it's a hardware issue, some say it's AT&T. But rest assured that it should be fixed in the coming days or weeks. I believe Apple sent out an email to a disgruntled customer who emailed Steve Jobs about the 3G connectivity issues. Mr. Jobs, who has been known to answer his emails, said that a fix is in the works and should be deployed by Sept. When in Sept is still unknown.
As for the Bold, we should soon find out. We've already had "phonegeek", who is a device tester with AT&T, tell us that they have issued new Bold test devices with new hardware.
In my opinion, this seems like a software issue. Like you said, other devices have been working flawlessly in 3G network areas. But then again, I'm just an ordinary consumer who loves Berries.
