Pulsing audio during a call.

Whenever I try and send or receive a call, the headset volume 'pulses' and I can't hear anything. It seems to be working fine when the speakerphone is on. I'm pretty sure the problem started earlier today, after I had a cassette adapter plugged into the headphone jack to play some music in the car. i had to change some settings after that to get music to play right in the media player. I'm running 5.0.0.93. Has anyone else run into this? What setting or option am I missing that will fix this?

The problem has fixed itself, but if anyone has run into this or has any insight, I'd love to hear it.
