So I was looking at the Push to talk app and saw that if I download the app through the application center, it costs $5 a month thru Verizon. but if I download it thru Blackberry App World, its a $5 one time cost / no hidden fees. Why is this? Thank you for your help.
I'm pretty sure that if you download it through app center and call customer service to add PTT to your account, what happens is that you get a feature something to the effect of
PTT BlackBerry REV A $5
But then, you also get a promotion added to your account that is something like
100% Discount BlackBerry PTT.
So on your bill, you are both billed and credited so the net cost is $0
As to why it looks like a one time fee in App World - that I do not know.
