    hello everyone , I have a bold 9900 and it is completely up to date ,my server is Bell , the problem I have is when I am texting or bbming my phone is putting capital letters and periods in the middle of words and sentences .It has been doing this for some time now , it did seem to stop for a short period but it is still doing it . I have tried reboot and pulling the battery out many times ,that does not help . I thought it was maybe my phone but my wife has the exact same phone and is having the same problem .
    Any help would be appreciated

    If any letter is pressed for a short period of time it is a small letter , while pressing it longer will make it a capital.

    When at the end of a word double pressing space gives you a period .

    With a little practice , you will get used to it !

    yes I know all that . thanks ,but that is not what is happening . I have had my bold for three years now and it just started doing this six months ago

    Could be your keyboard is worn out .
    Do a search it's quite easy to replace .

    kind of weird that my wife's is doing the same thing . so it leaves me to believe that is not the problem.

    It happened to my old 9900 three times in two years and got a replacement every time. They were not able to tell me what exactly was causing the problem though. You may need to get your keyboard fixed or ask for a replacement. I hope yours is only a software related issue...

    Happened to my old 9900, as well as my wife's 9900. We had to replace certain parts underneath the keyboard skin.
