Simple question. Hope somebody knows the answer.
I had to return my 9700 but it was unrepairable. So I still have the charger etc.

Would like to know if I can use it as an extra charger to leave at work for the 9900 I'm planing to get at the end of the month.
    Thanks

Yes it works and I believe it actually charges faster current one that is supplied with the 9900

    I have tried:

9630 Tour charger, 9330 Curve 3G charger, Kindle charger, PlayBook charger.

All work fine. Anything should work as long as it is micro USB, or whatever that little port is call (mini?).

Hehe. Ok just wanted to make sure it didn't only WORK but also it doesnt damage the phone.
I'm not really a specialist when it comes to volts and ampres you see

The various chargers will charge at different rates I suppose if they are spec'ed differently. My understanding (and I am not an expert), is the micro USB chargers are designed to not be able to damage the device. Just a matter of how fast or slow it will charge. If I am wrong then I am sure someone else here will chime in.

From my understanding the lower the mA rating the better it is for the battery. Higher the mA the faster the charge. The charger that comes with the 9930 is 750 mA. My old one from my 9650 is 700 mA. I believe a Kindle charger is 850 mA.

Can't say for sure if the speed vs health thing still applies to the current battery technology.

I also use the charger from an android device .
Seems to charge much quicker than the original.
Since it's been over a year of this - there is no damage to the battery.
