Here are some pics with the 4S for comparison for the 9900. The 9900 is nice just for the simple fact they put a camera in a phone. The iPhone 4S is leaps ahead of the competition. The pictures on the 9900 are ok.

I'm not a professional by any means....but the 4S takes a lot better pics then the 9900.....but I still love the 9900
I took the exact same picture of that pumpkin guy at Disneyland, so weird. Same angle and everything; even taken with my 4S!

The 9900 camera is a little strange, when you zoom in the pic does get noisy but you can actually zoom into a lot of detail, for example in this picture you can zoom in to see 3 thin areals on the mountain far away.

with the experience you've gathered using the camera, what would be your ideal camera settings for good photography ?

Just use the apropriate setting for the conditions or type of photos you're taking, I used sports mode for the splash photos and landscape mode for the others.

Great pics belfastdispatcher! I know people complain about the camera on the 99xx's but I think mine take great pics. I will post some later that I took.

So my sister in law got a new iphone 4s and yesterday I took a photo with it and immediately after took a photo with my 9900, both on auto mode, indoors with flash on.
Results from looking at the photos side by side on the screen:
    1. Iphone 4s took far longer then the 9900 to take the photo
    2. The colors on the 9900 photo were more accurate, the iphone made light pink out of a dark pink top, almost red.
    3. The iphone photo had red eyes

I don't know what they would look like on a computer screen but on the phone screens the 9900 took a better shot.

The night mode in the 9900 is quite amazing, looking at this picture you'd think it was a cloudy day when in fact it was almost night. The picture appears twice as bright then the real ambient light. No flash was used.

So here it is, iphone 4S vs 9900, you be the judge. First iphone then 9900. Quick shot on auto with flash on both. My opinion is the 9900 wins.

Trust me, iPhone 4S camera is way better than 9900/9930. I have both and the one thing the 4S can do, is to take pictures. Note, you can't tell on a computer display at 72dpi. the difference are in prints at 300-2400dpi.

And plus, you can't compare a picture that you moved to make blurry to a clean 9900 picture. You gotta be fair.

Post the originals on photobucket with exif data at original resolution for a true comparison.

This being said, I love the Belfastdispatcher pictures! What a beautiful place to live. Like I always say, content trumps everything else.

I guess saying "trust me" makes it fact and not just your opinion? Gotcha. And how many camera photos actually get printed at all, much less at 2400 DPI? If you're looking to print a those levels, are you really going to use a camera phone?
