The only thing I don't like about this phone is the camera because I happen to take "text" picture a lot for my work and daily life and this can't be done using "no auto focus" camera. I never had any problem with it with my old 9700.

However, everything else for Bold 9900 is perfect !! I love the keyboard !

There's a link to the actual size image if anyone wants it. I figured I'd post it instead of e-mailing it in case anyone else wants it.

It's a bit grainy, but you can't even tell when it's a wallpaper at that size.

If super close up photos are important for you 'mega million dollar' business, shell out a few bucks and get a high res compact point and shoot with a good macro range.

Or if your making millions from your company buy a DSLR with a good MACRO lens and you wont have to worry about it as long as you can press a button to take a shot.

Try this: click. It's still a white background, but I don't think the method would be any different if it weren't.

If you need truly razor-sharp photos of small text, you're not going to get them on the 9900.

I don't understand why people think that a small camera lens should work like a professional SLR camera. the camera is fine to take pics with your mobile phone..

If you have a digital camera, try and use that, but set it on macro or super macro. Then just transfer the photos to the microSD card and upload them the way you want to. I did it.

Those were very good demonstrations of the camera that allegedly "can't" take decent photos of text.

played with the modes a little. Not sure which shots are which, but i used Auto, Beach, and Night mode for the shots. Here are the best!

So far it hasn't really been a problem. I don't use the sym key much, and when I do I can just get to it from the menu. The keyboard isn't interfering with anything. I might replace it, or get a new phone through insurance.
