    My 3+ year old 9780 has suddenly started to act rather oddly. It's slow to respond when I press a button, it skips lines or jumps to another screen when I use the scroll button, the back button doesn't work properly . . . Is there any way to fix it or is it time to replace it? I use it almost solely for communicating--email, text and whatsapp--and love the qwerty keyboard.

    I assume you have rebooted it.
    Try a security wipe (after doing a backup).
    Then if no improvement try reloading the OS.

    If you still have a issue... a new device will be nice.

    Oh. Sorry. I should have said that I'm tech challenged. How do I do each of those things? (I did try to do an update via the Blackberry software but I couldn't find the update option--just the sync option.)
