Just upgraded my Bold to .266. Works good so far (about 5 minutes of use). Anything I should expect?
Should expect a better memory management and somr battery improvements

I don't. I have all versions I have used since the original .162.
I dowload the new file, run it, install it, and then run the DM to upgrade.
I haven't removed any of the previous versions and never had a problem upgrading before.

Looks like the signal strength is a little better also. Battery I can't really tell. Once I use it from a full charge for a day I will get a better idea.

    He ya.

I upgraded and I'm on day 2. The memory management is great, in the 50's on a re boot. Battery life is pretty good on normal use. No cons found yet...

Good luck everyone upgrading. I recommend it.

So far I like it. Did I not pay attention before or did this upgrade introduce in-thread (storm-esque) sms replying?

My battery life has increase a lot since going to .266. It was the same when I went from .162 to .216. Lots of emailing, BB messenger and some web browsing. It lasts almost 2 full days before having to charge. Even then, I still have one bar left. Memory is still between 33-39MB. I have quite a few apps on the phone though, so I'm guessing that's where the problem is.

I just upgraded to .266 and unfortunately some emails show only up with the time and not the entire title/sender as it used to before using the plazmic marco2 theme. I saw that others had the same issue but couldn't find the solution. Can anybody help or suggest a theme where this issue doesn't exist and I can see my new messages on the home screen?

Ok this is the worst firmware for me for battery life. I'm chewing through half a battery a day with fairly light use.
same here, i never went down to low battery with zero bars before.

Installed .266 two days ago from .221 and this is what I have noticed.

    1. Definately better memory management. I would start with around 42 mb with .221 and drop to around 30 mb after a few days with 221. With 226 I start with 49.8 mb and after two days am at 43 mb.
    2. Signal strength is superior but I do notice some differences. I get great signal strength in certain areas of my office where I never got a signal but in areas where I had a weak signal on 221 I now have hardly any signal and it will switch to GSM.
    3. I switch between Edge and 3G a lot more now in certain areas while before the Bold would stay on 3G with hardly a signal. Now it switches to a stronger Edge signal if that is available.
    4. Battery life is still up in the air. On 221 in a full day (5 am to 11 pm as I email with China) I would be at 50% power. On 226 the first day, I was at 20% in the same time period. Today though it is different. Since I took it off the charger this morning at 5am I am still kicking strong 6 hours later with 95% strength. Same time period yesterday and I was already at 80%.
    5. I have noticed no significant difference IMO in the browser but the OS appears to be a bit zippier in other applications.
