    HI ALL...

OK OK SO I HAD A lot of spare time this xmas famaily feuds and all... eastenders i missed and wallace and gromit also... bit annoyed at myself. i thought i want to watch it on my bold... so i started a search for bbc iplayer download as mp4... then i started thinking if i can do that then i can just move via mass storage to my bold....

guess what i just did and the quality is almost as good without any work needed as the speedracer one.

anyway id share this with you all, think of it as a late xmas gift... lol

1st u need to download this programme..

    IPLAYER DOWNLOADER FROM:
    http://po-ru.com/files/ipdl.exe

**SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE TILL YOU GET TO A HEADER:
    Pre-built Windows GUI
Download from the link that says **ipdl.exe (Version 1.10)

ignore the rest about ruby etc. i just downloaded that and it worked

Just download... simple if you have windows its simple as download the instructions below are for other os's

then once you have downloaded go to
BBC iPlayer, copy the url and insert into iplayerdownloader and wait to download,

then just plug ur bbBold in and mass storage it and thats it...

let me know what you guys think...

Yes. Using the loader puts the .mov file onto your pc which you then transfer to your media card via USB.

The BBC the British Broadcasting Corporation (Our Telivision licence funded TV service).

They have a website, BBCiplayer where you can watch and download programmes for free (30 days)

The BBC developed an application for the iphone so that they could also download shows from the mobile wesite.

Some clever guy has managed to tinker with this and has put out this bbciplayer downloader with which we can download programmes onto our BB's via pc.

    The quality is great.

    Hope that helps.

This is brilliant - now got a few iplayer vids to watch on the bold.
Surprising that they're such small file sizes for the quality. Hopefully the BBC will let this continue, at least until they get their finger out and make iplayer work for more than a few nokias and the iphone.

I think it needs to noted, if your outside the UK this will probably sound strange and will not work unless your behind a UK Proxy (To make it look like your living in the UK).

Not to be a pain but is there much to do to be "behind a UK proxy"? Hmmm...I thought we were still part of the British commonwealth up here in Canuck land anyways.
