ok well this is my first blackberry, and so far im loving it but i was wondering if i can change the way the numbers appear in my call log, the number that i havent saved to my address book instead of 9999999999, to (999) 999-9999

the compressed way is pretty confusing to me, and curious if i can change through the os or can i hack it through the file system or something

There is no setting you can change. However, you can store the contacts with the parentheses and it will show the parentheses in the call log if you do so.

For numbers not in your address book, I don't think there is anything you can do.
