+1 I will not upgrade to the 9650, my Tour is just fine for me. I wlll wait for another device. It's no 9700 that's for sure...

I was going to wait also, but now my Tour doesn't charge. The charging port may have been pushed up a bit or down, so it hardly ever charges. I also have a replacement plan on it.. so I may just switch phones since this one isnt working, plus my trackball is now FUBAR'd also.

u still need to think if the 9650 is worth you using your upgrade on. If you have a replacement plan or ins then i would really consider going that route. No matter what then if you decide to say f it and use your upgrade at least you will have a good working Tour that you could sell.

I have a good working Tour (.643 and a flawless trackball) and although the Bold is an upgrade, I feel it is an incremental upgrade so will skip it and get the next gen device.

Another reason why I'm glad I upgraded - I work from home and my cell is my office phone, and with all the concalls I'm on, the ability to get data via wifi while on the phone has already proven how useful that is. Still jealous of att users than can do that without wifi.

Agreed. It’s because the overall width of the keypad is wider (going to the edge of the device), even though the keys are the same size. The guitar string layout is not as curved on the 9700.

Might want to upgrade that sig there. Congrats on the upgrade!

I like the new bold, but. I compared it to the 9700 and can't understand why the 9650 has the tour keyboard. I think the 9700 has the best keyboard. Its smaller than the 9650 but its keys seem bigger. How do you explain that ?

I also believe the 9700 keys are flatter, making them appear to be wider.
