I'm on Bell and .545 and I don't have that issue. I don't use crunchsms so I'm not sure if its that but it does sound like it is. Did you do a battery pull after uninstalling it?

Also try Options>SMS Text>Network to Send Over: Should be Circuit Switched PReferred or Circuit Switched Only. Packet Switched Preferred can cause delays as it will look there first for SMS messages, and Packet Switched SMS isn't used in North America.

Call Bell, have them connect you to RIM. If you call RIM yourself, they will charge you by the minute if they help you or not. If Bell connects you, there's no cost involved.

Just update to the most recent OS for the bold 9700. Right now it's 5.0.0.743... And don't use crunchSMS, it's useless. I've had trouble with it too, people weren't receiving my texts. Other than that if it continues, call your service provider.
