On my BB Bold, I do not see an option to set a private email account as shown in the documentation that came with the device. The only option is shows me is a corporate email account which I'm not interested in. Is there a way to turn on the private email option?
Not exactly sure what a BIS account is. But yes, I got the device as a contract phone from Vodafone with unlimited browsing and email. But the guy in the shop also told me that it would be no problem for me to use it to get my private email as long as I know all the right passwords and POP account details etc.

Make sure you have a Blackberry specific account. This will open up the e-mail features.
Ok, I must admit that Vodafone did not yet "migrate" my SIM card and account to a Blackberry account. It was supposed to happen within 24 hours, but I'm still waiting. Maybe when that happens it will all magically come right?

Not sure about it being there right away, but it does have to happen before email will work.
