Just wondered if and or when we start using NFC......will it scan ok thru a phone cover such as the Otterbox Commuter series? Not sure if anyone has been able to test the NFC yet? Thanks

Not even sure where you are on Earth. You should ask your carrier.
No, 99.9% of the cases out there will not interfere with NFC functionality.
Specs are good to about 1 inch.
To Oniberry.....excuse me for being such a dumb a--. Either you could have answered my stupid question or just keep your thoughts to yourself. With a new device and new NFC technologly (to most of us idiots somewhere on this Earth) I didn't have a clue if it would scan thorugh a cover. This isn't latin but you should understand.....'shove it where the sun don't shine'
I have one of those credit cards with the nfc chip in it and even when i keep it my wallet i can still make the payment. I don't think cases will interfere much with the NFC to be honest.
It will scan fine through a cover, radio waves a pesky little things and will go through most things, unless you've a lead case lol.

You asked what you could do with it. To give the best answer, it would be better to know where you live and who your carrier is. (Shrug) Whatever though..take it easy timbo22.
Cheers,
Great question! I was wondering the same thing, it would be pretty annoying to have to remove an Otterbox case everytime you wanted to use NFC. I'm really hoping it scans through

I believe your orginal question might have been in 1 of the other threads. That might be why he was being sarcastic.
I thought perhaps there would be some info as well. I looked and didn't really find the answer so I asked the question. Kind of sorry I did ask and guess I'll just keep thoughts to myself and see how it works.
Thx...
I wasn't being sarcastic.
I thought he asked what he could do with it, and then ask if a case would interfere with normal NFC functionality.
I can't give you things to do/test, unless I know where you live (what part of earth). Sorry if I came across as rude.
Turns out the fault was mine, as he was not asking what he could do with it.
@timbo22 - Sorry
apology not necessary but accepted. Sometimes we (I) engage mouth before much thought.
Regards.....
I didn't find it rude at all. I thought the way you worded what part of earth was rather funny.
Not finding his answer and asking in ANOTHER NEW THREAD was funny also. Kind of sucks that posting new and very relevant and on topic questions in an existing thread gets lost a lot of the time.
