Me too. Often reboots for no reason when using my Bluetooth headset. (Jawbone 2) I have already gone to this version .147 to cure but it is still happening. Very annoying.
I noted that Orange France UK's 3G is provided by Alcatel-Lucent.
WIND Hellas is Ericcson.
CSL Limited is Nokia.
Beta is unknown.
Rogers in Canada is also Ericcson. While I have no scientific proof whatsoever, it's probably a good idea to try and match the firmware and frequencies to what your personal provider uses.
Unfortunately all the others are 3G 2100.
Telstra in Australia uses 850/1900 like Rogers, and Ericcson equipment also.. so 4.6.0.144 might be worth trying too as they cleared it officially.
So here is a question, I already had 4.5 os for my curve on my pc. I then installed 4.6 for my bold but could not find a vendor.xml file in the rimm folder. When I first installed everything, my phone would not work, but all I had to do was run a radio scan and it picked up my network. I used a csl file and now I have csl (hong kong) on my bold, is this because I did not delete the correct vendor file? and if so, how can I redo this? Thanks for the tips
So as i read i see that when i delete the Vendor.xml file i will still have the rogers soft branding (which i want), and i should do a clean wipe and then install the os? (i have 4.6.0.167 and will be using this). And i guess with this update it will fix a majority of the problems people are having eg. rebooting, battery life, 2g/3g switches, dropped calls...
another difference I've noticed with this build is the speed of reboot. when I was on 126 the reboot took like forever (maybe 4-5 minutes). now it boots up in about 2 minutes. that makes a world of difference!
