I'm curious to know if anyone thinks they'll be another 6.0 update for the 9650.

    Just curious.

I had this exact thought this morning.
Most of the other devices have gotten updates recently, and we're here in the dark.

I don't believe there will be anymore updates for the 9650 since all the new BB's are coming. But that is just my 2 cents.

There will be new releases... The 97xx devices are releasing oses even though they are also slated to be replaced and the 9700 is older than the 9650.

I believe new BB models will be coming out this summer or fall, I am sure they will be another update (maybe not a big one) for the 9650, I hope there is but I'm not sure. I'm looking forward to seeing the new phones when they come out though.

Yep, I think there is going to be another update for OS6 on the 9650 and hopefully one will leak very soon.

Storm got it's latest OS more than 2 years after release date. 9650 will see more.

I sure hope so, I'm still running the official Sprint 6.0.0.415 that was released first way back in DECEMBER.....Sprint claims that an update is "coming". The question is WHEN. I'm glad to say I haven't had any problems with this OS like some of the other OS6's that I've read about. I guess thats why Sprint hasn't updated.

Why are you sticking with 415? It's the laggiest of all the carrier released builds. Verizon's 431/AllTel's 436 and VZW's 524 are all better options than 415.

Slow but with out many issues.

Compared with newer OS's I would say it's the least buggiest, with reboots, etc.

But guess to have something little more solid, there is a sacrifice for all that. And that is speed lol

I would give top honors to 431. The only problem I had with 431 is the stupid wifi/browser click issue, but a second click gets it working.

Considering both Storm and Storm2 got new officials in the last 7 days, 9650 will see more!

what the eff is goin on, this phone is mad slow, why does it take soo long to slap a new processor in a phone and call it a day.

HTC, samsung, motorola, LG all release faster phones 4 times a year, rim has yet to upgrade the processor in the bold in the last three years, its the same one that's in the Tour 9630, this is a joke.

I dont care how bad the os is, I am stuck with the platform because I require bbm for work. But all I ask is to stick a 1ghz processor in the same body, I dont need freaking touchscreen, its a gimmick.

I cant wait till august 21 for the bold touch to come out, i am dying with this phone, cant browse sites without waiting minute between each screen refresh.

This has to be the most ridiculous post ever!

Off topic much? Sounds like you hosed your Bold, have someone fix it for you.

So which is it?? Can't wait for Bold Touch or Touchscreens are a gimmick?????
Sorry, I meant to port this rant in a different thread.

But while on this topic, I will add that no new os will fix this phone. And, yes the way rim does touchscreens on j2me is a gimmick, until they release qnx on these phones, that's when it will be a much better user experience.
