So i installed the new Operating System about a week ago and things went flawlessly. EXCEPT, my battery life seems to be cut in half, i am in the yellow and red by the end of the day where i use to have half life left.
Also, my alarm does not work. yes i have it set correctly, it just will not go off. I chose the alarm ringtone i want and test it and it works but when i set the alarm, it just go right past the alarm time and never sounds.
First, backup EVERYTHING... then use BBSAK or CrackMem to wipe your device and then reload your OS using those same tools... then reload your data and 3rd party apps.
is BBsak or cracmem an app i need to download. Can i just do the master wipe from the options?
BBSAK and CrackMem are apps that run on your PC... you have to download them and install them on your PC... either will do the job... but in answer to master wipe: No, it's not the same thing... these apps will actually wipe your device clean without an OS, then you need to reload an OS on your device... the problem might be related to a corrupt file that was loaded on your device... I'd remove the OS you have loaded on your PC (all Blackberry OS version), then download and install the OS again - fresh.
Good deal, just wiped phone using crackmem. Waiting on phone to boot before i install OS again. Do i need to delete the vendor file my self even though crackmem has that option?
First, the phone will not boot up... it will have NO OS... if you're going to use CrackMem, it will ask you to verify the OS before you can execute the Wipe... when CrackMem wipes your device it will load the OS you have selected... all done... but YES, you need to delete the Vendor.xml file before you start CrackMem.
