I ordered a new white housing for my 9780, but the top piece to the front faceplate that says "Blackberry" is separate. Does this just snap in? I have seen others where it's all one piece. Thanks

The one that I ordered from SW-BOX was all one piece except the bottom plate that just snaps in.

Yeah - I hope it just snaps in and I don't have to glue it or anything. I ordered it here off of Ebay and it's coming from Brooklyn. Fingers crossed.

It should be like the one I ordered.

    1. Faceplate should = side bezel and top (snaps in)
    2. battery cover
    3. bottom cover (below keyboard)
    4. keypad

If the top cover is not already attached, it must be soldered in. Not really soldered using solder, but you need a soldering gun or iron to melt the retaining tabs.

If you're going to apply a white housing to a black device, I hope you can live with the black edges of the screen.

Black edges no biggie - not worth replacing the LCD screen. Too bad they don't have these for the 9780.

Do post some pics of it when you're finished so we can all enjoy your as-new device with you.
