I recently got a Bold, about 2 months ago...and the version says...v4.6.0.167 (Platform 4.0.0.157). Would it be a significant difference to upgrade this to a newer version? Also which of the newer versions is the best? Should I just wait for an official release of v5.0?

    Thanks, guys.

What's Your Favorite OS and Why?

This is why I made this thread, in hopes that somebody would look at it and find out what the best OS is.

I bought a bold about 3 weeks ago and upgraded it immediately to Rogers .282. I have had zero problems with my bold on that software version. A huge plus for me is that I travel every once in a while to an area that does not have 3G and I can change my network setting to 2G only which saves quite a bit on battery life.

The .247 seems to be the safest choice, personally im running TMobile UK .291 but get an upgrade it will change radically every aspect of your Bold...

I went from 28 MB application memory to 46.9 MB application memory after I upgraded to v4.6.0.282 even though I added two new apps.

I chose the Vodafone UK version, since I read that there were issues were low call volume on the Rogers version.
