So I just got my first Blackberry (and I love it) but I had a few questions on some things.

    - I prefer the Gmail app to the native mail one... Is there a way to make the it receive my mail instantly like the basic messages app does, and can I set my phone up to notify me only when emails arrive in the Gmail app instead of the messages one?

    - Can I change the way I unlock my keyboard?

    - When I watch videos on Youtube, they come out with really poor quality + sound...can this be fixed?

No,no and no. With the gmail app you need to open the application and hit refresh to see any
New emails but you could set up your gmail account to your BlackBerry so you get notified
Instantly and keep the gmail application for the funtionality it provides. I've never come across
Any setting options that allow you to change the keyboard unlock sequence and as for the
Youtube videos there are a few third party players that display the videos in slightly better
Quatily but not much. Good luck with your new Berry and just start experimenting with settings
And applications such as the Gmail app and you'll quickly learn what work best for you

You could put your bold in standby (button on top of your bold) instead of locking the keyboard.

Or you can (and should) password protect your Bold so that entering your password unlocks the keyboard.
