Not looking for sorry for your loss posts. I lost nothing of any import.

Recently I was in the fire station and as much as I tell probies to
carry all tools with the working end down one didn't get the message.

I was doing a walk around of one of the ladder trucks and this
mental midget comes from the opposite direction and hits me with
pike pole.

The tool hit me left of my sternum. For some reason my Bold was
in my shirt pocket (I never carry it there, don't know why I did then)
and the Bold, although completely destroyed, prevented the tip of
the pole from breaking my skin or worse. It went completely through
the LCD.

Now THAT is a story! Great post. And I'm really not sorry for your loss at all, since it really was your gain.

Now go give that smashed up Bold a decent burial.
