Hello I have a few applications (viigo, calorie count, google, shazam, amazon, msn chat, profiler, and blackberry app world) along with 4 themes. My bold every other day goes into a busy clock and slows down. I have to take the battery out and restart it every time. Also under memory I have 1.6gb out of 1.8gb remaining and I get a application memory full message when I try to add something new. What am I doing wrong?

1.8 GB? I thought the bold only had 1 GB?

Ok, be sure all of those apps are not running in the background by closing each of them using their respective menus. Also be sure the settings are such that they are not updating on their own. Viigo is a bit nasty about this. Good app, just double check those settings.

Themes, especially animated ones, can cause this also.

Your app memory is measured in MB's, so the GB readings are more likely available storage.

Make sure when you're done using the apps, press menu, close.
Check your settings for Viigo and make sure that it is not set to run in the backround.
Delete App world and reinstall. The first time I installed it seemed to cause a huge memory drain.

What you're seeing as 1.8 GB is not relevant to your devices memory. It's only applicable to your media cards memory, which has no effect on your devices memory! To find your devices memory, go to Options>>Status and look at File Free. This number should be over 12000000 mb. If not, follow the steps on the link I provided and you should gain a lot of extra memory.

Also make sure that all your media is on the media card (ie pics, music, videos etc).

Be sure to perform routine battery pulls to gain memory that you have lost since your last battery pull.

I do have to say that it's pretty wild that you were able to run your memory so low! On my 8900, I hardly ever go below 100,000,000 bytes.

Well the 8900 comes stock with 256MB of memory. Add the pre-installed apps and you're looking at around 140MB. With the few apps and themes I have, it's pretty easy to stay above 100MB

If I remember, the Bold comes with around 160MB total memory. With apps, I'm guessing around 90MB. Don't quote me on that though!
