i hav bold 9700 OS 5...i create a WEP connection on my laptop n wish to use it on my bb fone but my fone doesnt search the created netwrk...unable to understnd the problem...hav tried many thngs...made changes in the settings but no positive sign...i wud appriciate ur suggestions

You need to explain further. You can only connect the BB wifi though your router! Or any other router for that matter.

Change it to WPA/WPA-PSK and use a passkey (it can be a word, such as Wonderful or a series of words, such as Computers of the Future), that's what I use instead of wep, that way, a typo of the long key doesn't get made.

Also, explaining further would help uis help you better.
