Choppy movie play, ripped some movies with DVDFab8, put on 9700 running OS6, first leak, all seems well but movie plays choppy like a struggling stream. Anyone else running movies on OS6 or at all on 9700?

Maybe the bit rate was too high? 256 kb/s or 330 kb/s @ 480x360 is enough, has to be mpeg4 AVI with either mp3 or AAC audio. Try those settings.

I'll look but I used desktop mgr to load onto the phone and assume it was , as it said, converting the file.

Getting movies to play is a nightmare, my 9700 seems to struggle with anything over 50mb, it won't even recognize a full length movie however I try to encode it. The desktop manager conversion doesn't work in Windows, neither do other free options. DVDFab 5 didn't work either. In Linux I tried several presets in Arista transcoder, files around 50mb or under worked fine but not a movie. Acid Rip to BB settings didn't produce a working result either. I don't necessarily think it is the conversion process, more lack of support for video formats in OS6. It is my understanding that there was better support in OS5 - why make it worse!
