Has anyone tried one or both of these softwares? Which one is better?
I decided to go with Mobiola Studio Pro and am in the process of converting a DVD in *.3gp format. Is there a format that is better such as mp4? There are a number of different file formats.
However, I did try an iTunes movie and was not able to convert it so I am wondering what else I need to do.
Anything downloaded from iTunes that has DRM protection you won't be able to convert it.

Is there any way to legally remove it?
Is there a file format that is not too large but the video quality doe not suffer? There are a number to choose from.
The sound and video quality is excellent!!! It did not take long to convert a 2 hour DVD to 3gp format file. The file is 0.8GB in size.
I bought and use DVD to Go and it works perfectly.... Just follow the steps and you cant go wrong....
I watch movies that i have converted from avi to mp4 that play perfectly through the media player preinstalled on the BB
I like the Mobiola because it will not only convert iTunes, DVD, YouTube videos but it will work with almost any smartphone or portable media player including PSP.
Where can you buy these programs and how much money are they? I've always wanted to convert some of my movies to BB but haven't ever looked into doing so...
You purchase DVD to Go and Mobiola Studio Pro on ShopCrackBerry.com.
I got Mobiola but it is a bit pricey. You have to purchase/download the basic version and then purchase/download the pro edition.
It converts any DVD, iTunes, YouTube or video file into a number of different file formats for a number of different phone and media player models as well as customizing the file formats in terms fps and audio channels.
I converted a 2 hour DVD into the 3gp format and it took less that 30 minutes for a high quality 0.8GB file on my Bold. The video/audio quality are great.
I am currently converting another 2 hour DVD into the mpeg4 to see the file size difference and so that my son can watch the movie on his iPod or Samsung Propel. Converting to the mpeg4 format appears to be taking a little longer but I will let you guys know how it turns out.
The movie took a little longer to convert to the mpeg4 format but the file size appears to be comparable. I will let you know about the audio/video quality.
Thank you for keeping us updated, and thank you for the info above. I appreciate it. There are tons of apps that I'd like to try out (this one included) but it's hard to judge what is good and bad unless you can talk to another person who owns the product.
DVD to go is truly impressive. The picture on my Bold is rimarkable. I don't know about Mobiola, but DVD to go is awesome.

The audio/video quality is great with the mpeg4 format. Can anyone tell the difference between 3gp and mpeg4? I know that 3gp work on 3g phones like the Bold and some 2g and 4g devices. It might be just me but the 3gp formatted videos look and sound a bit better.
It also appears that the 3gp formatted files are smaller than mp4 files. The same movie...same resolution quality...3gp=0.795GB and mp4=0.810GB. Granted, it is not a great difference but on a 16GB micro sd card, it could make a difference in terms of being able to squeeze more mp3 tunes on it.
It also take longer for the mp4 file to convert than the 3gp file. I like the Mobiola because the conversion settings, while they can be tweaked manually, also contain optimized settings for a particular device already loaded. A Bold being a 3G device would not have the same settings as a Bold 8310 which is not a 3G device.
The 3gp files are definitely smaller than mp4 files and take much less time to convert than the mp4 files. The audo/visual quality appears better as well. The customization by device takes all of the guesswork out. No need to worry about fps or special audio setting unless you want to take the wheel.
I think I'll buy the program at some point now that I know file size, quality, etc. Thank you for all of your information and updates... :)
