    I had a few berries:

    Storm
    9700
    9780
    9320
    9800
    9900

    And now I own a z10.

But I miss my 9900 a lot, was a super phone and I don't feel special anymore with my z10.

People think it's an iPhone or HTC or even samsung...

I don't feel special as a BlackBerry user, when I had my oldberries people knew I had an BlackBerry, they recognize it from distance.

With my z10 I'm just another 'iphone' user.

I want to test the q10 to see if I feel special again.

I'm also thinking of going back to 9900, but If I do that I miss a lot of apps ;(

    Help me!

As compared to my z10 my Bold 9900 feels far more of a premium device.

Keep and use both if you are able to do so.
    I dual carry Z10 & Bold9900.
When people see you switch between phones, it's amazing to read the expression on their faces...

The only reason MY Z10 feels special is because it has ME.

Dude, seriously. You base how you feel about yourself on what you perceive others feel about the phone you are holding?

No it's about what the thread owner felt like when he had the bold9900. And what I stated was the right clich about how people perceive you according to the phones you carry. BlackBerry phones are mostly used for corporate reasons (that's a clich too). Among this world full of sheeps, like iSheeps, people's look may change if you are not following the damn mass. A Z10 is barely reconeizable from distance, it looks like any squared smartphones.
A bold 9900 is unique. Anyone who encountered one before can recognize it later.
Unfortunately, our human society is full of stupid clich.
When you see a guy carrying an old Nokia3310, you first think that this guy is just a regular folk unable to afford and/or master a smartphone, or maybe he doesn't need to have one. Your thought will focus on his ability to afford it, you may think that this guy is just too poor to get a smartphone. BUT this guy can be billionaire, working in building or architecture and owning a 3310 because a smartphone is too fragile for his work.
I have seen a cop carrying two iphones. Wtf? You risk to break both phones while chasing a theft on foot?

I have both the 9900 and Z10. The 9900 feels, well ... bold, while the Z is smooth and futuristic. Definitely don't miss the frequent reboots (daily sometimes) on the Bold. Contrary to lots of posts in other threads, I do not experience reboots on my Z, but rather on my 9900. Let's keep moving....

I loved my 9900 but I think I love my Z10 more than any phone I've owned before. The peek and flow along with the hub do not make me feel like I'm on anything but a BB. It feels unique and it feels like a perfect match for me.

Just today I went to the local corporate AT&T store and switched my service back to my 9900. I have the Z10 and the Q10 and, while there are many exciting features, they just don't do what my BOLD did. BIS, data compression, the ability to delete emails on only the hand held or mailbox and handheld, set how notifications (only vibrate in holster) are handled. BB10 is going to be a great OS, however, missing features lead me back to the BEST BB released to date!

I wrestled with my Z10 for a few months trying to find ways to lower my expectations so I would not feel so bad about the Z10 and it's quirks but eventually got tired of it and let it go on ebay so I could replace it with a 9930. Sooooooo much more refined, smooth, and great user experience. One does not realize how much they miss the keyboard until they have a phone without one.

This has to be a joke. A funny one at that. You don't feel special anymore. Really? Your BlackBerry made you feel special because people knew you were using a BlackBerry? In case it's not a joke........ Take a deep breath and focus. You should not care about feeling or being special because you are not. You are just another phone user no matter what brand it is.

The Q is awesome but nothing takes the looks from the 9900. The silver bezel is powdered coated. Ew it should be raw metal silver like the 9900 and the back top is so plain the 9900 looked better but the Q works better by a LOT!!!

Installing another OS may solve your reboot issue. I caught my 9900 doing a reboot more than a year ago on an earlier OS. However, with the later OSes, i haven't noticed my phone doing that. Also, I'm lucky not to have the reboot issue on my Z10.

Honestly, it shouldn't matter what kind of phone people carry. I still have a few friends who are carrying flip phones and don't care for a smartphone. Me personally, I love my 9930. It's definitely elegant looking. I'm gonna be holding on to this for as long as I can. It's all about the physical keyboard for me too. I'm never embarrassed when I pull out my 9930. I don't flash it around either of course. There are Blackberry people and there aren't. Of course, I can choose to switch to an iPhone or Android. But I remain a BB user. As long as BB continues making that phenomenal keyboard, I'm gonna keep using them.

There are deffinately somethings I miss about my 9930 (especially BIS data compression) but lack of 4G was kind of a pain. The Q10 is a good compromise between the classic Berry feel and some of the new nifty wowzy features present on Droids and Iphones. FYI, I can't stand using a droid or an Iphone though and BB10, while limited, is a much more friendly interface and OS than either of those, much like the classic BBOS but more refined for the less tech savy. Overall, the Q10 feels like a natural evolution of the 9930.
