Hello just bought a Bold 9900 on ebay as my Classic has died. What is the max size micro sd card I can use?
    Thanks in advance.

32 gb max I believe. There were people who tried with 64 gb ones but the phone only saw 32. Do a search and you'll see plenty of posts regarding your question.

I'll second that. I tried several 64s but 32g is it.

There's another 6g on board, also, where I generally keep things I don't want to lose if I swap sd card. Fwiw.

mine is packing an 8GB Vertatim brand. class 4(speed) I believe. I had a 16GB SanDisc but that brand caused loading and jamming issues in 2 of the BB's I owned. True it may have been a defective card, but now we will never know.

Back in December a guy in here posted he was having issues and I successfully guessed it was a Sandisc.

Was it me? I posted about a 32gb SanDisk acting up while the same card had no problem whatsoever in the 9780.

I moved my 32 Gb SanDisk from the 9780 to the 9900, then formatted it on my laptop. I then moved a little over 1000 songs to the card. The phone said the card was improperly inserted. I removed the card then placed it in again and got a corrupt card issue. This got me annoyed, but I chose repair card and I got no issues afterwards. It recognised all my music and files and today I added an extra 160 tracks on the phone and no issue. That's very strange, but if it works I won't complaint!
