You can't! All you have to go by is your File Free memory in Options>>Status. There's no way of seeing how much memory one app is using at any given time!

Also, make sure you close all apps properly. Blackberry button and then "close" rather than the red end button.
Facebook, Google Maps, and Viigo are known memory "hogs" that also have so-called "leaks" especially if not closed properly or if they are set to update automatically.
I've deleted damn near everything and after a bat pull I've got 40MB app mem. Am I hosed?
I don't understand the issue. What are you saving that 40MB for? Is your phone giving you any problems?
Newer OSes tend to manage memory better - not sure what OS you're using. But I'm also not sure what the problem is.
That's very good. Don't obsess, the phone is fine.
Yeah, once you get down in the 12MB range is when you should worry! If and when that does happen, you should always delete any messages (text, emails etc) that aren't important and save the ones that are. And then in your Browser, press Menu>>Options>>Cache Operations and clear everything out, then perform a battery pull. You'll see all the memory you lost return once your phone is done rebooting.

Wow that's a lot compared to my 20! If I had 40 I'd be thrilled!!

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm going back to trying to install a 500kb app with 2mb of data on my Bold and see if it will end up with more than 10MB left this time. Grumble...
If you're having trouble with your memory, let us know what's going on. Some apps cause memory problems, but most function well and memory stays high and stable - so long as you don't have a bunch of apps running in the background.
Dude, that's excellent.
I run on my bold the following apps
Gmail
Gmail agenda sync
Weathereye
Docs2go
Various games
Google maps
Filescout
Normally I have around 36mb available and the bold runs ok for me.

You should state your OS that you are running? first and for most if you are having memory problems.
If you continue to have memory problems, do a full wipe on your phone.
