Media card full because of thumbs156x156.dat
- I have a 2GB memory card. Although I only have a few pictures and songs, I often get the message that memory is full when I want to take pictures using the camera.
I tried to find the memory hog and it turned out to be file thumbs156x156.dat and thumbs640x480.dat, both of these files consumed more than 1GB.
Is it possible to delete them? What would happen if I delete these files? Any suggestion so that I can do to make sure that I can free more memory?

- Hi!
Maybe a little bit offtopic, but.. If you anytime wish to extract images from this BB thumb file, I can recommend this software:
https://mark0.net/soft-bitmaprip-e.html
It's command line app, but very easy to use, just type "bitmaprip thumbs156x156.dat" or whatever *.dat filename you have and it will do the rest - scan *dat file and extract all available thumb images in the same folder.
I was able to recover some valuable for me images that way - at reduced resolution of course (thumbs640x480).08-09-20 07:18 PMLike 0 - Hi!
