Got the parts from cnn.cn. A very important fact people leave out is that this mod makes your Blackberry look and feel so much thinner. The rear plate is about 1mm thinner than the OEM plate. The phone is absolutely PERFECT now and does NOT feel bulky like OEM does!!! I will KEEP this phone now.

Sorry about the craptastic photos... I am going to set up a lightbox maybe tonite and show you guys some better photos.

Thanks! I might add to that while this job was tedious, the phone was EXTREMELY easy to take apart and put back together. 3 pieces total. Not like the 8700s and 8800s where the phones were built in layers. Just take your time with this project.. the hardest part is not dissasembly but swapping all the buttons over to the new bezel. Go VERY slow!!

How did you get to keep the buttons to stay on the new bezel when putting the phone back together. all the buttons kept on falling off when i tried doing mine.

so what's the deal with the red numbers. thought it was standard? here we don't get bolds without red numbers. so i suppose white numbers would be sort after here!

I'm happy with mine. I wish I could have put the chrome buttons on mine. But didn't bother. I managed to get the bezel on fleabay and it had the buttons preinstalled. It makes it look a little more rugged, instead of "iphone-ish".

Depending on your carrier, you have red numbered keypads or all white numbered keypads. My Bold is from AT&T, which decided to give out the all-white ones. I like the different color (doesn't necessarily have to be "red") to differentiate between the phone buttons and the keyboard, but I never switched my white keyboard out yet.
