I truly don't understand how every other carrier has put out the official 7.1 but AT&T is lagging this far behind? What happened to BB stating 7.1 would be available through every carrier?

    Any news?

Well your not alone, across border, Rogers Wireless still hasn't rolled out 7.1 to all its blackberry 7 phones! This is soooo pathetic!

Who cares? Plenty of other carriers have released it, so just download one, delete the vendor file, and install. It makes no difference what carrier name is on the OS. The same OS version released by two different carriers is identical except for the carrier name.

RIM can release 7.1 builds to all carriers, but carriers have to approve and decide when to release it.

That's on AT&T... Also as stated waiting for an AT&T release is pointless...

The official release will be a buggy, gutted pos. Wait for it at your peril.

I live at Puerto Rico, my carrier is AT&T. I bought Bold 9900 December 1, 2011. First upgrade 7.0 Bundle 2216. Second and last upgrade 7.0 Bundle 2392. NO 7.1 May 6, 2012. Some Bold 9900 users prefer to download OS upgrades using PC and Desktop Manager, others like me prefer official carrier AT&T OTA OS upgrade. So wait or PC Desktop Manager.

I prefer to do upgrades with apploader. Download any os you want, remove vendor file and install. Check the forum for instuctions how to load an os with apploader.

Well here in Australia we are still waiting for Telstra to release 7.1. I just used the apploader and installed 7.1.0.402 and its amazing. dont bother waiting for your carrier because all they care about is your money
