    Hi,
I am looking to purchase a Micro SD card for my bold. I am now thinking to go with the Sandisk 16GB Ultra MicroSD. First of all, will the Bold recognize it? Second of all, is there really a difference between the Ultra (class 4) and the regular class 2? Lastly, anyone know anything about the release of a 32 GB card and whether the Bold supports it?

To be on safer side prolly just get the normal microsd from sandisk. Below is what iceman from another thread wrote:

BlackBerry Device Software version Media card size limit
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB

I checked in About and it seems I am running 4.6.0.216. Does that mean my Bold supports 32GB? Is there even such a thing? How do I check if the Ultra series is supported and does it even make a difference? Thanks for your response.

A 32GB card will probably be about $200. I got a 16GB card in my Bold which was $99. I got it at Best Buy.

Yeah your bold supports 32gb if price is not an issue with you.
As for ultra version why don't you give it a shot. I'm sure you could get it exchanged if your bold doesn't support.

I think I will go for the 16GB Ultra, have not seen the 32GB (Does it even exist?). It's $70, which is not too bad and it will hopefully be faster than the regular class 2. Thanks again.

I also got the 16gb memory card ...32 GB was a bit expensive.

I did not even see the 32GB one, where did you see it online?

Class 6 will make it faster to load media on and off the card, but will have no benefit over Class 2 in your phone. I have an 8GB Class 2 card, and loading 6GB of songs and video took just minutes, maybe 10 minutes. If you plan on moving 10GB or more of data off and on the card on a regular basis, Class 6 would have benefits. If you are going to fill it up, then just move a few things off and on every so often, it might not be worth the extra $$$.
