...just got a bold yesterday, and trying to use the Maps function. It says;

"A network error was encountered. Check your server settings."

Has anyone else had this happen to them??
I contacted t-mobile, they said that the coverage in my area was down, but i never had no problems accessing the maps when i had my nokia 5800, so a bit baffled :/

Is the rest of data connectivity working? Internet access working? If you just got the Bold, it's possible they didn't properly provision it. You could try the steps in this thread: How to Resend Service Books If that doesn't fix the problem, call Customer Service again.

Erm, rest of its workin ok, just downloaded google maps and thats working fine.
