Go to settings -->Manage Internet Mail --> menu Key --> Service books--> send service books.

You might have to do it a couple of times.

    Resend your service books

Either log onto your carrier's BIS site, or do it direct from your phone...

Setup > Email Settings > (Menu) Service Books > Send Service Books

Alternatively, if you update your OS to the latest official .862 or latest leaked .938 then you won't need to keep doing this, as the Yahoo! message folder stays put even after a reboot.

    Also, it's not a big Y anymore... it's a little Y in an envelope

@phill Just a quick follow up- do you know if that works with the Hotmail icons also?

I'm not sure as I don't have a Hotmail account, but I know how you can check for yourself...

Files > File Folders > Device Memory > (Menu) Show Hidden > appdata > rim > bda > icons

If you have 2 further sub-folders in the above icon folder, then you're message folder icons should remain after a reboot.

I've only noticed these 2 sub-folders in OS .862 and .938 where all other OS builds have had just the 1 (and the dedicated message icon has disappeared after a reboot).

    Hope this helps

Yes. I have a hotmail account, and occasionally after a battery pull, or even a soft reboot I lose the icon. So far resending my service books has worked every time, sometimes if I'm too busy the icon will come back on its own in a day or two (probably after I receive a few email, or something like that)

just go to the yahoo icon on your menu and press the menu key when you are on it, it is hidden thats why it shoes the dull color. click show all and click hide till you dont see check marks on itin front of the two options , i got this after 2 months of seeking for answers
