    Hi all,

Just to be clear, the handset I am talking about is not stolen.

Basically, my daughter had a Bold 9700 with Orange about a year ago. Close to the end of her contract she thought she had either lost it or someone had lifted the phone from her bag. We contacted Orange who locked it and as her contract was within a month of finishing agreed to upgrade her phone slightly early.

About a month later we found her lost handset down the side of her bed between the bed and wall.

Now though she has damaged her current phone so I thought I would charge up her 9700 and try it. Not surprisingly its disconnected so I have been trying to unlock it without success.

It does show signal and can even access the net but no calls or text service.

So I was wondering if any of you good people know any ways of doing this?

    Cheers, Chris

Hi Chris and welcome to the CrackBerry community !

Unfortunately, if the device have been reported stolen to Orange, then its IMEI has been "burned" and it won't be able to operate on (any) cellular network. I believe there's nothing on your side you can do about that. I'd suggest you have a chat with Orange, but I'm not sure they can whitelist it back (but definitely worse a try !).
