I cannot help but notice that since the last 4-5 leaks, the 9780 boot time has been totally unacceptable. It really crawls like a snail. I have a 9700 as well and it ALWAYS boots a good minute faster than my 9780. **** my good ol' Cadillac 9000 on OS 5 too boots faster. Despite having wiped, shrunk, optimized, tried different hybrids, etc. there has been no change in the Boot Time. It seems RIM has totally lost interest in their flagship product & seem to be more interested in optimizing the lower specd 9700 & promoting OS 7. We've had so many leaks for 9700 in the last month or so, the 9780 has been treated like a b****** child of RIM. #Epic Fail RIM!

Have you checked that Memory Cleaning and Memory Card Compression are both disabled?
This should speed up your reboot times...

Options > Security > Advanced Security Settings > Memory Cleaning > Enable = unchecked

Options > Device > Storage > Enable Compression = unchecked

Yes both are already disabled. The boot time clocks at 4:28 Minutes until the software verification progress bar ends.
